On December 5th, the Giant of Africa Dream Big Reception brought together the GOA family—friends, donors, and supporters—for an inspiring evening of unity, vision, and impact. This special occasion honored the life and enduring legacy of Nelson Mandela while celebrating the shared commitment to empowerment and positive change across Africa and beyond.
The evening featured Giants of Africa Night at Scotiabank Arena, where the Toronto Raptors faced the Oklahoma City Thunder. The game showcased vibrant activations and in-game presentations, honoring Madiba, while celebrating African culture and the spirit of Giants of Africa.
In addition, a pre- and post-game reception at the Hot Stove Club featured special appearances by Masai Ujiri and members of the Toronto Raptors, uniting the GOA community for a memorable evening food, drinks and entertainment.
