At Avi-Cenna International School in Lagos, we hosted a coaching clinic dedicated to developing the next generation of women leaders in basketball.
Since 2003, we’ve travelled the African continent hosting basketball camps for boys and girls. Each of these camps is led by NBA personnel and local coaches who not only conduct basketball training but also life skills lessons to all participants.
The impact of our camps extends beyond basketball, as many players have not only gone on to achieve success in the sport at the local, national and professional level, but also pursued other career paths, such as becoming doctors, engineers, entrepreneurs, and more. Our goal is to inspire these young people to DREAM BIG, and to equip them with the skills and mindset they need to achieve success in all aspects of their lives.
Africa
At Arada Park, 50 women came together to learn from Giants of Africa coaches, building the skills and confidence to inspire the next generation of female athletes.
By investing in women coaches, we aren’t just teaching the game, we’re building a support system that lasts. In Guinea, under our Women's Empowerment Initiative, we hosted a coaching clinic to support the next generation of female coaches.
