Day 2 of camp in Lagos started off with a message from one of the coaches who’s journey began 12
years ago right in this very camp. Coach Harry Ezenibe was a GOA camper in 2005, and following along and winding journey, he is now an assistant coach with the Toronto Raptors G-League affiliate, Raptors 905. Coach Ezenibe spoke to the campers about his journey and his message hit home, providing the kids with a home-grown example of where life can take you if you put in the work. Games began right away, and the competition and physicality was once again at a high level. During one of the life skills sessions, Coach OBJ blessed the campers with some knowledge filling the gym with positivity and peace. Once camp wrapped up for the day, a small group of GOA members accompanied three campers back to their neighbourhood and home in nearby Oshodi and even laced it up and played a little 3 on 3 with the campers on their local outdoor court. The final day of camp awaits. Peace Everybody.
