Closing time in Uganda was packed full of excitement. The campers powered through some ball handling early in the day, specifically trying to improve their weak hand, and just before lunch they were treated to a compelling speech by a Giants of Africa Nigeria alum, Temitope Amed, who’s now living and working in Uganda. The second half of the day featured more scrimmaging culminating in an All-Star game between the camp’s top 20 players. The shortest of them all, Fayed Bale, took home MVP honours with his stellar passing, scoring and tenacious defence. Overall the improvement from Day 1 to 3 was so apparent, the coaches were pontificating about how bright the basketball future is in the country.
